What is KOMRIDER? Your questions, answered
KOMRIDER is an indoor cycling app for structured workouts, virtual routes and Bluetooth smart trainers. Here are the questions we get asked most often.
What exactly is KOMRIDER?
KOMRIDER is a desktop app for training on your smart trainer. It combines precise power workouts in ERG mode with the simulation of real-world routes – no gaming world, no clutter. We built the app because we needed it for our own training.
Which platforms does KOMRIDER run on?
KOMRIDER runs natively on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows (x64). You'll find the download at komrider.com.
Which smart trainers and sensors are supported?
Any common smart trainer that speaks the Bluetooth FTMS standard – that includes devices from Wahoo, Elite, Tacx/Garmin and Saris, for example. Heart rate sensors connect via Bluetooth as well. Pairing happens right in the app, no extra software needed.
How much does KOMRIDER cost?
You can try KOMRIDER free for 7 days. After that, Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, managed directly via komrider.com.
Can I ride my own routes?
Yes. Import any GPX file – your favorite loop or the course of your next race – and KOMRIDER reproduces its elevation profile precisely on your smart trainer. Strava routes can be imported directly.
Are there structured workouts and training plans?
Yes. KOMRIDER comes with a workout catalog and structured training plans. All workouts are based on your FTP: target watts adapt automatically to your fitness. In ERG mode the trainer holds the targets precisely, so you get through your interval training cleanly.
Does KOMRIDER work with Strava?
Yes. Strava routes can be imported directly, and KOMRIDER uploads your completed workouts to Strava automatically.
Who is KOMRIDER for?
For road cyclists and triathletes who want to train with structure – from winter base building to targeted preparation for a triathlon, granfondo or road race.
What data does KOMRIDER show while training?
Power (watts), cadence and heart rate in real time, plus interval targets, the course profile and your progress – all clearly laid out at a glance.
